NEW RELEASES
The eighth essential release from Sounds of Khemit is another superb various artists collectionfeaturing Tebra, Hrag Mikkel and Benyebe. This release is inspired by Sobek, the Khemitian crocodile master of strength, extreme power, Nile River, water, warfare, strategy, fertility and protection. The strength, speed and ferocity of the crocodile was thoughtto be symbolic of the power of the Ruler of ancient Khemit and, say the label, he brings light to their missionto connect people through music on a deeper level.
Sounds Of Khemit returns with another carefully curated collection of sounds that are steeped in ancient mysticism.Says the label of the inspiration for this latest collection, "The Ancient Khemitian Master Khnum is associated with water and procreation. Her name Khnoom, as the hieroglyphs depict, means the dweller - the one that lives in or at a specified place. Khnum is seen as the source of the Nile and with her potter’s wheel she created the bodies of humans and other gods from the abundant clay."
The cultured Sounds of Khemit returns with another various artists EP that takes us deep into their mystic house world. As per all Sounds of Khemit releases, this one is based on an ancient concept. They explain, "Hathor, or as the hieroglyphs read Hat-Hoor, is known as “Lady of Stars.” She represented music, arts, dance, joy, love, sexuality, fertility and maternal care and is an important principle in Sounds of Khemit who nourishes with her divine light and the energy that surrounds us at all future gatherings."
Sounds of Khemit continue to bring the wisdom of ancient Khemit back to life with a fantastic three-trackerfeaturing music from Dandara & G.Zamora, Tanit and VRuno.Sekhmet means nothing less than 'she, who is powerful.' The Egyptian deity is a warrior master, a master ofhealing and the destroyer of the enemies of the light, and she is the inspiration for the label's fourth thoughtful EP.
The Khemitian Master of Masters Tehuti, also known as Thoth or Hermes for the greeks, is the master of wisdom, the scribe of god. He is responsible for all human knowledge, he is the master of learning, writing, science, art and magic. Tehuti is usually portrayed as a baboon, an ibis, or a man with an ibis head. Thoth was the founder of all major disciplines such as science, astrology philosophy, alchemy and magic. The Greeks extended Thoth’s wisdom by including mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and theology. For both the Khemitians and Greeks, Tehuti was venerated and honored as the Master of knowledge and wisdom. Most myths speak of Thoth as a man with impeccable persuasive and speaking skills. The ancient khemit wisdom has been lost for thousands of years. Our goal at Sounds of Khemit is to bring back this knowledge to society to serve the world from Tehuti's fountain of wisdom and knowledge. We believe that one of the biggest hidden wisdoms is the way ancient khemitians use sound. Sound as a source of vibrations and frequencies, not only able to spread joy and happiness but also able to heal mental and physical states. Many mysteries surround ancient Khemit, e.g. the constructions of the pyramids. Sound could be one key to decipher ancient methods like these.
